I am notoriously forgetful when it comes to these things so I appreciate being brought into the loop multiple times.
🧌 Planner, pantser, or plantser: Plantser. Some books I've been able to write without a guide, but most of the time I have an overview document and notes to look back on, but everything can change at the drop of a hat!
🧌Comfort word: 'Things' I go back and change them when I am in a more descriptive frame of mind, but lots gets describes as 'a thing' in my drafts.
🧌Snack of choice: Biscuits, but my favourites are chocolate digestives. Or bourbons.
🧌Beverage of choice: Tea. I am English. We invaded India for those sweet leaves!! (And the rest of the world, most likely)
🧌Soundtrack: When I am writing, Focus Music is playing, so the mind doesn't drift. It also depends what I am writing. There's a lot of wonderful music on YouTube for various 'feels', so if I am writing a fight, that sort of vibe goes on. Also, church-style chanting features a lot.
When I am imagining, anything goes.
🧌Time of Day: Any time. Being a parent, I fit in writing as/when I can.
🧌Writing Program: I bounce between Atticus, iPages & Google Docs.
🧌 One Word to Describe Your Process: If I had a plan... I would be deadly.

What does it take to kill a God?
Waaaaaay back when I was an illustrator, I created a Goddess/Religion for one of my characters. The Cult of Serpentis. That follow the teachings that all flesh belongs to Her. They are at her whim, their flesh forfeit to her desires.
Non believers are there simply to sate her everlasting appetite, for the Goddess is ever hungry and all she consumes ends up as a pile of flesh upon which she dwells.
She isn't a nice Goddess, but the rewards she offers her devoted go far beyond the pleasures of the flesh - which she see's as a waste of perfectly good skin.

This past week of promoting There's an Orc in my Court has felt *wonderful*
When I first published this book, we'd spent so much time together that I was so glad that it was all over. I rushed into writing the second book in the series that I didn't take time to just enjoy the moment.
I was so annoyed by the end, I never even shared the celebratory art commission I brought of Sethraun as a 'Congratulations, you just published a novel you're happy with' reward.
So I am sharing it now while the happy feelings of nostalgia are firm in my mind!
I adore this book and the characters in it.
And after this past week of promo's I am sorely tempted to jump back into that draft, publishing goals I've written and have no inclusion of the Orc Court series be damned!!

Sometimes, an entire story comes from a single line that clings to your thoughts and doesn't let go.
That's how the strangely titled, "There's an Orc in my Court," came to into existence.
It's a mixed-genre novel that came right from my heart and soul. I adored every minute of writing it during NaNoWriMo and influenced by all the unpopular things I love! (British 1800's Military, Hate-Shipping, Orcs and Baker Rifles)

May I introduce Queen Caesia 1st of Erawoen.
The Pinterest Board for There's an Orc in my Court, is filled with the dresses she wears. And Sethraun style jackets!
Caesia was a lot of fun to write.
Focusing on all the wrong things, berating Sethraun for his failings (and for being an orc) trying to avoid being murdered while her court falls down around her, whilst trying to deny her attraction to a loathsome green-skin!
She's going to be a hoot in the next book, I promise!!
